Celebrate the life of a true American hero, Susan B. Anthony, on her birthday . . . February 15 Raised in New York, Susan B. Anthony spent part of her twenties teaching at a Quaker seminary. After the Civil War, she became a passionate leader for the womens suffrage movement. And, in 1866, she co-founded the American Equal Rights Association. Over a century later, Anthony became the first woman depicted on U.S. currency.
